La famille du révolutionnaire Carrier possédait, à la fin du 18e siècle, les constructions bâties à l'emplacement de l'actuelle ferme, ainsi que les maisons mitoyennes. Ces propriétés ont été remodelées au 19e siècle (logis en 1833 ; grange-étable en 1843, agrandie en 1929). Le logis, de trois niveaux, abrite au nord une cave voûtée, l'office et la souillarde. La partie droite servait de remise (sans doute une ancienne bergerie). Le logis proprement dit occupe les trois travées gauche. Une galerie en bois à balustrade en surplomb règne au premier étage, sans escalier d'accès extérieur. Le rez-de-chaussée comprend un petit vestibule, l'escalier en bois dans-oeuvre, une pièce d'apparat, la cuisine et sa souillarde voûtée en berceau. A l'étage sont disposées quatre chambres. Ce logis combine les caractères architecturaux des fermes traditionnelles montagnardes : emploi des matériaux volcaniques, des couvertures en lauze ; et des fermes du Cantal méridional : construction en hauteur avec galerie extérieure et toit en avancée. Cette ferme constitue un modèle de transition entre deux régions : les plateaux et montagnes du Cantal et la zone de Maurs aux influences méridionales.

History
The family of the revolutionary Carrier owned, at the end of the 18th century, the constructions built at the location of the present farm, as well as the adjoining houses. These properties were remodelled in the 19th century (main dwelling in 1833; grange-stable in 1843, enlarged in 1929). The main dwelling, of three levels, houses to the north a vaulted cellar, the pantry and the scullery. The right part served as a storage shed (no doubt a former sheepfold). The main dwelling proper occupies the three bays to the left. A wooden gallery with a balustrade in overhang extends along the first floor, without an external staircase access. The ground floor comprises a small vestibule, the wooden staircase built into the structure, a reception room, the kitchen and its scullery vaulted in barrel vault. On the upper floor are arranged four bedrooms. This main dwelling combines the architectural characteristics of traditional mountain farms: use of volcanic materials, slate roof coverings; and farms of southern Cantal: construction in height with external gallery and overhanging roof. This farm constitutes a model of transition between two regions: the plateaus and mountains of Cantal and the area of Maurs with southern influences.
