Première mention de la seigneurie de Massebeau en 1315, dépendant du vicomté de Murat. L'édifice se compose de deux ailes se faisant face de part et d'autre d'une cour, clôturée à l'ouest par un mur et s'ouvrant à l'est par un porche. Un second porche, accolé à l'aile gauche, ouvre sur le vallon. Chaque corps de bâtiment est marqué, au centre de sa façade sur cour, par une tour d'escalier. History
First mention of the lordship of Massebeau in 1315, dependent on the viscounty of Murat. The building consists of two wings facing each other on either side of a courtyard, closed to the west by a wall and opening to the east by a porch. A second porch, attached to the left wing, opens onto the valley. Each body of building is marked, at the centre of its façade facing the court, by a staircase tower. On the interior, the first storey of the north building body retains a coffered ceiling. To the south, two monumental fireplaces.
