Avant le vandalisme du 19e siècle, le château comportait, outre le logis actuel, une seconde construction perpendiculaire au premier, joignant le donjon au sud. Formant poterne au midi, s'élevait la tour del Moussou dont la base se voit au sommet de l'escalier d'accès. Cette tour communiquait par un pont-levis avec la chapelle de Notre-Dame du château, petit oratoire contenu dans la tour carrée abattue en 1653, qui occupait le sommet du dyke appelé rocher del Moussou. En 1562, les Protestants s'emparent du château qui résiste. En 1794, le château est vendu comme bien national.

History
Before the vandalism of the 19th century, the château comprised, in addition to the present main dwelling, a second construction perpendicular to the first, joining the keep to the south. Forming a postern to the south, rose the tower del Moussou, whose base can be seen at the top of the access staircase. This tower communicated by a drawbridge with the chapel of Notre-Dame du château, a small oratory contained in the square tower demolished in 1653, which occupied the summit of the dyke called rocher del Moussou.
