Historique
Chapelle construite en 1616 suite à un voeu des consuls d'Aurillac après la délivrance de la ville le 5 août 1581. La légende rapporte que pendant l'attaque de la ville par l'armée protestante, la Vierge apparut sur les remparts, à l'endroit où fut édifiée la chapelle. Constantin de Combes fut chargé de l'exécuter dans les vestiges de la tour de Seyrac, réutilisés dans le clocher. Elle fut restaurée en 1745 par les consuls. Cet édifice se compose de deux travées irrégulières, suivies de deux autres, voûtées sur croisées d'ogives, surélevées de six marches, avec un gros pilier central soutenant les quatre voûtes. A l'extrémité, un choeur formé de deux travées de voûtes, présente la particularité d'une clé pendante. La porte d'entrée porte la date de 1745.

History
Chapel built in 1616 following a vow of the consuls of Aurillac after the deliverance of the town on 5 August 1581. Legend reports that during the attack on the town by the Protestant army, the Virgin appeared on the ramparts, at the spot where the chapel was subsequently built. Constantin de Combes was entrusted with its execution within the vestiges of the tower of Seyrac, reused in the bell tower. It was restored in 1745 by the consuls. This edifice consists of two irregular bays, followed by two others, vaulted on rib vault crossings, raised by six steps, with a substantial central pillar supporting the four vaults. At the extremity, a choir formed by two bays of vaults, presents the particularity of a hanging key. The entrance door bears the date 1745.
