Historique
L'église abbatiale ne conserve plus, de l'époque romane et du 13e siècle, que des soubassements : l'édifice a été complètement remanié au 15e siècle. Aux 12e et13e siècles, l'édifice comportait une nef de trois travées précédée d'un porche avec clocher ; un transept orné de deux chapelles orientées ; un choeur à chevet probablement carré, avec déambulatoire. Aux 13e et 14e siècles, deux chapelles furent ajoutées au croisillon nord ; les chapelles du transept furent agrandies et modifiées, et trois chapelles furent construites au chevet. Les voûtes furent commencées, en remplacement des charpentes. Aux 15e et 16e siècles, les fenêtres furent en partie refaites, et les voûtes terminées. Les premières travées de la nef sont précédées par une façade et un clocher moderne, oeuvre de Lassus et Lisch en 1868, l'ancien clocher ayant été renversé à la Révolution. Le clocher est resté inachevé, et ses sculptures sont épannelées.

History
The abbey church retains from the Romanesque period and the 13th century only foundations: the building was completely remodelled in the 15th century. In the 12th and 13th centuries, the building consisted of a nave of three bays preceded by a porch with bell tower; a transept ornamented with two oriented chapels; a choir with chevet probably square, with ambulatory. In the 13th and 14th centuries, two chapels were added to the north transept arm; the transept chapels were enlarged and modified, and three chapels were built at the chevet. The vaults were begun, replacing the roof structures. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the windows were partly remade, and the vaults completed. The first bays of the nave are preceded by a modern facade and bell tower, work of Lassus and Lisch in 1868, the old bell tower having been overthrown at the Revolution. The bell tower remained unfinished, and its sculptures are blocked out.
