Fontaine de plan circulaire, au style indéterminé. Au centre du bassin, une colonne de section rectangulaire supporte une vasque de pierre présentant d'un côté, en saillie, un griffon en forme de masque humain sculpté dans un fragment de pierre encastrée. A l'opposé de ce dernier, une sorte de gouttière de pierre, recouverte d'une dalle, rejoint le talus et la canalisation assurant l'arrivée d'eau de la montagne. Cette gouttière pénètre dans la vasque par un évidement analogue à celui qui contient le griffon. Cette disposition peut laisser penser que, dans une situation antérieure, cette fontaine pouvait comporter deux griffons opposés. Sa forme et la sculpture de son griffon la rattachent à la tradition romane. Cet ouvrage est sans doute lié à l'église monastique de Bredons. Après l'incendie du monastère, au 18e siècle, les matériaux ont été réutilisés par les habitants. Cette fontaine a vraisemblablement été ramenée par les habitants à son emplacement actuel.

History
Fountain of circular plan, of indeterminate style. In the centre of the basin, a column of rectangular section supports a stone basin presenting, on one side, projecting, a griffin in the form of a sculpted human mask carved from a stone fragment set in. Opposite the latter, a sort of stone gutter, covered with a slab, joins the slope and the piping ensuring the water supply from the mountain. This gutter enters the basin through an opening similar to the one containing the griffin. This arrangement may suggest that, in an earlier situation, this fountain could have had two opposing griffins. Its form and the sculpture of its griffin link it to the Romanesque tradition. This work is doubtless linked to the monastic church of Bredons. After the fire of the monastery, in the 18th century, the materials were reused by the inhabitants. This fountain was doubtless brought by the inhabitants to its present location.
