L'église est formée d'une nef gothique rectangulaire de quatre travées, du 13e siècle, que prolonge un choeur roman à travée droite et à abside semi-circulaire de la fin du 11e ou du début du 12e siècle. L'édifice a été mutilé lors de la suppression des voûtes, sans doute à cause de graves désordres. Il devait s'agir, pour la nef, de berceaux brisés coupés de doubleaux retombant sur les colonnes demeurées en place. La travée du choeur devait communiquer avec la nef par un arc triomphal dont ne subsistent que les colonnes engagées. La façade ouest est surmontée d'un clocher-mur à une seule baie en plein cintre, auquel a été accolé du côté de la nef une construction en charpente surmontée d'une flèche couverte en ardoise. Cette église peut être considérée comme un exemple d'église creusoise à la limite du Bourbonnais.

History
The church is formed by a rectangular Gothic nave of four bays, from the 13th century, extended by a Romanesque choir with straight bay and semi-circular apse from the end of the 11th or beginning of the 12th century. The building was mutilated by the removal of the vaults, no doubt due to serious disorders. For the nave it must have been broken barrel vaults cut by doubleaux falling onto the columns which remained in place. The bay of the choir must have communicated with the nave by a triumphal arch of which only the engaged columns remain. The west façade is surmounted by a bell tower gable with a single round arch opening, to which has been attached on the side of the nave a timber construction surmounted by a spire covered in slate. This church may be considered as an example of a Creuse church at the boundary of the Bourbonnais.
