Historique
La seigneurie du Coudray est attestée dès le 12ème siècle. Les douves de l'ancien château existent encore. Au début du 17ème siècle, un nouveau château est érigé sur l'ancienne construction dont une tour demeure comme témoignage de son passé médiéval. Deux appentis dont l'un, doté d'un toit à clocheton fit office de chapelle, complètent cet ensemble imposant. De l'édifice primitif du 15e siècle subsistent trois tours rondes. Le reste de l'édifice a été reconstruit au 17e siècle et remanié au 19e. Le château se développe sur trois côtés d'une cour ouverte, le corps de bâtiment de gauche servant de communs. Du corps de bâtiment de droite ne reste qu'un mur. De chaque côté de la façade principale, datant probablement du 17e siècle, deux tours rondes rappellent les origines médiévales du lieu. La tour gauche a vu son lanternon fermé au début du 20e siècle. Ayant servi de pigeonnier, elle présente des orifices pour oiseaux.

History
The lordship of Coudray is attested from the 12th century onwards. The moats of the former castle still exist. At the beginning of the 17th century, a new castle was erected on the former construction of which a tower remains as testimony to its medieval past. Two lean-tos, one of which, fitted with a roof with a bell turret served as a chapel, complete this imposing ensemble. Of the original building of the 15th century, three round towers remain. The rest of the building was reconstructed in the 17th century and remodelled in the 19th. The castle develops on three sides of an open courtyard, the left wing serving as outbuildings. Of the right wing remains only a wall. On each side of the main facade, probably dating from the 17th century, two round towers recall the medieval origins of the place. The left tower had its lantern closed at the beginning of the 20th century. Having served as a dovecote, it presents openings for birds.
