Historique
Ancienne chapelle du prieuré Sainte Pétronille d'Aubeterre, datant du 12e siècle, dont les bâtiments conventuels ont disparu. Petit sanctuaire à nef unique se terminant par une abside, voûtée en berceau et éclairée par des fenêtres en plein cintre. A l'extérieur, corniche romane. Deux enfeux, un à l'extérieur, l'autre à l'intérieur, possèdent des chapiteaux. Peintures murales du début du 13e siècle. Sur le mur nord, sainte Catherine et deux donateurs ainsi que deux représentations féminines (la Foi et l'Eglise ?) ; sous un enfeu en plein cintre, représentation d'une Vierge à l'Enfant. Sur le mur sud, le baptème du Christ, la Flagellation et une Déposition de croix. Chapelle vendue comme bien national en 1791, puis transformée en grange. Chapelle témoin de la vie monastique du Moyen-Age en Bourbonnais.

History
Former chapel of the priory Sainte Pétronille d'Aubeterre, dating from the 12th century, whose monastic buildings have disappeared. Small sanctuary with single nave ending in an apse, vaulted with a barrel vault and lit by round-arch windows. On the exterior, Romanesque cornice. Two wall tombs, one on the exterior, the other on the interior, possess capitals. Wall paintings from the beginning of the 13th century. On the north wall, Saint Catherine and two donors as well as two female figures (Faith and the Church?); beneath a round-arch wall tomb, representation of a Virgin and Child. On the south wall, the baptism of Christ, the Flagellation and a Deposition from the Cross. Chapel sold as national property in 1791, then transformed into a barn. Chapel witness to monastic life of the Middle Ages in Bourbonnais.
