Les constructions sont des 14e et 15e siècles. Au 16e siècle, cet édifice devait être une forteresse comprenant, outre le château, une cour rectangulaire fermée par de hautes courtines dont les angles étaient flanqués de tours rondes. History
The constructions are from the 14th and 15th centuries. In the 16th century, this building must have been a fortress comprising, besides the castle, a rectangular court enclosed by high curtain walls whose angles were flanked by round towers. The west curtain wall has preserved the primitive entrance door which was defended by a drawbridge. The main dwelling, accompanied by a tower, comprises two storeys above ground floor, all with ceilings. Each floor consists of two rooms. The cellars are vaulted. The pavilion projections have lost their machicolations. The castle constitutes one of the best preserved feudal fortresses of the Bourbonnais.
