History
A seizure deed of the castle, dating from the 17th century, describes a substantial ensemble of buildings furnished with numerous fireplaces, a chapel, outbuildings with stables, bakehouse, dovecote and garden. Today, what remains of the castle is reduced to the primitive nucleus, composed of a keep (the oldest part), an elongated main dwelling, to which several other additions were buttressed, including the entrance barbican. Primitively, the castle comprised two noble storeys and an upper storey probably surrounded by a wall-walk of which a bartizan remains. The ground floor of the keep comprises a room vaulted with a barrel vault.
