Le donjon (14e ou 15e siècle) et son enceinte ont été renforcés durant les guerres de Religion, puis transformés aux 17e et 19e siècles pour en faire un lieu à la fois résidentiel et agricole. A l'intérieur subsistent les menuiseries du 17e siècle ainsi qu'un décor peint en trompe-l'oeil. Au cours de la dernière guerre, un prisonnier italien a couvert un petit salon de peintures de paysage.

History
This castle is representative of the evolution of seigneurial architecture in Velay. The keep (14th or 15th century) and its enclosure were reinforced during the Wars of Religion, then transformed in the 17th and 19th centuries to make it both a residential and agricultural place. Inside remain the joinery of the 17th century as well as a trompe-l'oeil painted decoration. During the last war, an Italian prisoner covered a small drawing room with landscape paintings.
