Historique
La tradition voit, dans l'église de Saint-Vidal, la chapelle castrale. Eglise d'époque romane comportant une nef couverte par des voûtes d'arêtes paraissant dater du 13e siècle. La travée qui précède l'abside est surmontée d'une coupole à huit pans portée sur trompes. L'abside est semi-circulaire et décorée de trois arcatures reposant sur des colonnettes dont les chapiteaux grossièrement sculptés représentent des aigles déployés ou des griffons affrontés. A l'extérieur, l'abside présente trois pans sur chacun desquels s'ouvre une fenêtre avec archivolte reposant sur colonnettes cantonnées. L'archivolte de la fenêtre centrale est trilobée. Au-dessus de la coupole se remarque l'amorce d'un clocher carré, sans doute jamais achevé. Le campanile actuel surmonte le mur de face et est moderne, de même que le portail.

History
Tradition sees in the church of Saint-Vidal the castle chapel. Church of the Romanesque period comprising a nave covered by groin vaults appearing to date from the 13th century. The bay preceding the apse is surmounted by an eight-sided dome carried on squinches. The apse is semicircular and decorated with three arched arcatures resting on small columns whose roughly sculpted capitals represent spread eagles or confronted griffons. On the exterior, the apse presents three faces on each of which opens a window with an archivolt resting on flanking small columns. The archivolt of the central window is trefoiled. Above the dome is noted the beginning of a square bell tower, no doubt never finished. The present bell tower surmounts the front wall and is modern, as is the portal.
