Historique
Chapelle romane du 12e siècle. Selon la tradition, Rochegude était un sanctuaire païen dont les roches à bassin voisines seraient les vestiges. La chapelle aurait été élevée sur ces ruines. L'édifice se compose de deux travées dont la seconde sous berceau. Un doubleau les sépare, sur simple tailloir, avec arc latéral de décharge sur la première travée face sud. L'abside, semi circulaire sur les deux faces, est percée d'une fenêtre dont la face extérieure est composée d'un linteau formant voussoir et de piedroits appareillés. Arc triomphal plein cintre désaxé. Traces de peintures paraissant remonter au 17e siècle. Un campanile aux baies géminées, avec étages de contreforts, repose sur l'arc triomphal.

History
Romanesque chapel of the 12th century. According to tradition, Rochegude was a pagan sanctuary of which the neighbouring rocks with basins would be the vestiges. The chapel would have been erected on these ruins. The building consists of two bays of which the second under a barrel vault. A transverse arch separates them, on simple abacus, with a lateral relieving arch on the first bay facing south. The apse, semicircular on both faces, is pierced by a window of which the external face is composed of a lintel forming a voussoir and dressed jambs. Relieving round arch off-centre. Traces of paintings appearing to date from the 17th century. A bell tower with twin openings, with tiers of buttresses, rests on the triumphal arch.
