Historique
Edifice roman rustique qui faisait partie anciennement d'un prieuré bénédictin fondé à la fin du 11e siècle. Il dépendait de la Chaise-Dieu et, selon la tradition, servait de retraite aux moines fatigués. Il ne reste de cet ancien couvent que la chapelle qui sert d'église paroissiale, cette dernière ayant été emportée par l'inondation de 1700. Dans le prolongement de l'église se trouve un bâtiment dit "la grange aux dîmes". L'église se compose d'une nef d'une travée précédant la travée des transepts dont la croisée est couverte d'une coupole sur trompes. Une abside en cul-de-four forme le choeur. L'extérieur comporte un clocher en bâtière du 19e siècle.

History
Rustic Romanesque building which formerly formed part of a Benedictine priory founded at the end of the 11th century. It was dependent on La Chaise-Dieu and, according to tradition, served as a retreat for tired monks. Nothing remains of this former convent except the chapel which serves as a parish church, the latter having been swept away by the flood of 1700. In the extension of the church is found a building called "the tithe barn". The church is composed of a nave of one bay preceding the bay of the transepts whose crossing is covered by a dome on squinches. An apse with scallop vault forms the choir. The exterior comprises a roof-shaped bell tower of the 19th century.
