Château construit au 13e siècle par les chevaliers de Bar, qui se sont distingués lors des Croisades, seigneurs de Courbières à partir de 1200. Le château fut restauré au 15e siècle. Au 17e siècle, modification de la toiture et percement de nouvelles baies. Le donjon médiéval, de plan carré avec une tourelle d'escalier à l'angle nord-est, a été modernisé au 18e siècle (percement de baies, adjonction d'un corps de logis). Décors intérieurs du 18e siècle (boiseries, toiles peintes, papier peint, peinture, cheminées). A cette époque également, construction d'une aile à l'angle nord-est du donjon. History
Castle built in the 13th century by the knights of Bar, who distinguished themselves during the Crusades, lords of Courbières from 1200. The castle was restored in the 15th century. The medieval keep, of square plan with a spiral staircase turret at the north-east corner, was modernised in the 18th century (piercing of openings, addition of a dwelling block). Interior decoration of the 18th century (wainscoting, painted canvases, wallpaper, paintwork, chimneypieces). At this period also, construction of a wing at the north-east corner of the keep. The staircase turret serves both parts of the building. The whole of the buildings is arranged around an interior courtyard.
