Cette tour, appartenant à l'ancien château des seigneurs de Mercoeur, est un donjon de plan rectangulaire, de 26 mètres de haut. Huit contreforts contrebutent les angles et les mâchicoulis portés, entre les contreforts, par des arcs jumeaux bandés sur des consoles médianes formées d'assises en encorbellement. History
This tower, belonging to the former castle of the lords of Mercoeur, is a rectangular keep, 26 metres high. Eight buttresses counteract the angles and the machicolations carried, between the buttresses, by twin arches sprung from median consoles formed of courses in corbelling. The work should have comprised three storeys, two of which vaulted with barrel vault, the first with round arch, the second with pointed arch. The floors covering the two vaults still communicate by a staircase made in the thickness of the walls.
