Le fort se trouve au centre du village. Il comporte une tour cylindrique du 13e siècle, à trois étages voûtés, aujourd'hui surmontée d'un beffroi. L'accès à cette tour s'effectuait après le franchissement de deux portes fortifiées. La forteresse, qui date de la fin du 12e siècle, fut élevée par l'ordre de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem. Les armoiries répétées sur le mur extérieur de l'enceinte sont celles du commandeur de l'ordre. L'enceinte de ce fort était défendue par une muraille renforcée de petites tours circulaires dont certains vestiges existent encore.

History
The fort is located in the centre of the village. It comprises a cylindrical tower from the 13th century, with three vaulted storeys, today surmounted by a belfry.
