Borne de justice élevée en limite des seigneuries de Préchonnet et de Messeix. Les Leloup de Préchonnet, dont l'écu figure sur l'une des faces de cette borne, furent seigneurs de Préchonnet de 1437 à 1608. La bande tranchant l'écu des Latour d'Auvergne indique que le fief de Messeix relevait d'une branche cadette de cette famille lors de la plantation de cette borne. £La borne est paralléllépipédique. History
Justice stone erected at the boundary of the lordships of Préchonnet and Messeix. The Leloup of Préchonnet, whose coat of arms appears on one of the faces of this stone, were lords of Préchonnet from 1437 to 1608. The band dividing the coat of arms of La Tour d'Auvergne indicates that the fief of Messeix was held by a younger branch of this family at the time this stone was planted. The stone is parallelepipedal. Each of its two main faces is sculpted in low relief, at its upper part, with a coat of arms in relief presenting heraldic arms. On the East face, those of La Tour d'Auvergne divided by a band. On the west face, those of Leloup of Préchonnet.
