History
Renaissance dwelling comprising two residential blocks: one on the street, the other at the back of a courtyard, connected at each floor by superimposed galleries accessible by a staircase of a type common in the locality. The use of lava as a building material made it possible to achieve arches, squinches, corbelling and balustrades with bold designs. The hôtel is a remarkable example of this architecture. With a style somewhat behind the times, these ornaments announce the decoration of the 17th century.
