Croix en lave de Volvic qui se compose d'un soubassement, d'un fût et d'une tête. Le piédestal mouluré présente, en plan, la forme d'un triangle curviligne. Le fût a son plan tracé suivant la même forme. A chaque angle du triangle est une nervure qui vient pénétrer en élévation dans la base du fût. A la partie haute, le fût se termine, sur chaque face du triangle, par une accolade à crochets et, dans le prolongement des nervures des angles, par un petit pinacle facilitant la transition entre la section triangulaire du fût et la section circulaire adoptée pour les bras de la partie haute de la croix. La tête de la croix a une petite base formant bague au-dessus de la pointe des pinacles. Les bras sont en forme de branches, avec des noeuds saillants servant de motifs de décoration.

History
Cross in Volvic lava which comprises a base, a shaft and a head. The moulded pedestal presents, in plan, the form of a curvilinear triangle. The shaft has its plan traced according to the same form. At each angle of the triangle is a rib which comes to penetrate in elevation into the base of the shaft. At the upper part, the shaft terminates, on each face of the triangle, by a shouldered arch with crockets and, in the extension of the ribs at the angles, by a small pinnacle facilitating the transition between the triangular section of the shaft and the circular section adopted for the arms of the upper part of the cross. The head of the cross has a small base forming a band above the tip of the pinnacles. The arms are in the form of branches, with projecting knots serving as decorative motifs.
