History
The manor of Balangeard (or de la Rivière) appears at the back of a courtyard closed to the east and west by the outbuildings; the gateway is flanked by two pillars bearing two statues which are said to be the Lord and Lady of Balangeard. This manor, dating from the first half of the 17th century, consists of a main dwelling with two rooms per storey, and a tower containing the staircase; a lean-to was added to the north-east, probably in the 19th century.
