History
The cairn of Gavrinis, built towards 3500 BC, is a dry stone construction of more than 50 metres in diameter and 8 metres high. It covers a dolmen consisting of about fifty slabs, slabs engraved with schematised human figures, bovines, serpents, chevrons, arcs and arrows, etc., the usual symbols of megalithic art.
