Les remparts existent dans leur quasi totalité autour de la ville close. La ville avait deux portes : à l'est, la porte Broërec, appelée aussi Porte Prison ; au sud-ouest la porte d'En-Bas, disparue. Plus au nord se trouve la tour Saint-Nicolas, dont la partie inférieure prend la forme d'un rectangle arrondi sur le petit côté. La partie supérieure correspond au chemin de ronde.

History
The ramparts exist in their near totality around the walled town. The town had two gates: to the east, the Broërec gate, also called Prison Gate; to the south-west the En-Bas gate, disappeared. Further to the north is found the tower Saint-Nicolas, whose lower part takes the form of a rectangle rounded on the short side. The upper part corresponds to the wallwalk.
