Historique
La maison porte la date 1523 et l'inscription F. Lieou Prêtre. La construction est en moellons de granit, tandis que les baies sont en pierre de taille moulurée, avec un arc de décharge sur la fenêtre gauche. History
The house bears the date 1523 and the inscription F. Lieou Priest. The construction is in rubble stone of granite, whilst the openings are in moulded ashlar, with a relieving arch above the left window. The plan is rectangular, with ground floor and upper storey. The roofing is thatched, the gables are open, and the chimney stacks have a drip moulding. This house in Locmiquel bears the earliest date recorded to date on a rural house; it is not surprising that it is a priest's house. Indeed, these, by virtue of their elevated status in rural society of the 16th century, had played a determining role in the construction of stone houses. The state of preservation of the building is remarkable.
