Les plans de 1772 seraient de M. de Saint-Pierre, ingénieur du Roi et de la Compagnie des Indes à Lorient, repris en 1775 par Detaille de Kerroyant et exécutés de 1776 à 1782 en pierre de Taillebourg.

History
The town hall was built to lean against wooden market halls topped by the audience chamber of the seneschal's court, now disappeared. The plans of 1772 are believed to be by M. de Saint-Pierre, engineer of the King and of the India Company at Lorient, revised in 1775 by Detaille de Kerroyant and executed from 1776 to 1782 in Taillebourg stone.
