History
The church of Saint-Germain was rebuilt from the years 1450 onwards in a flamboyant Gothic style, of which it is a particularly accomplished example, with contrast of voids and solids, interplay of light, extreme slenderness of the pillars, covering in broken barrel vault with coffering creating a continuous interior space. The reconstruction lasted more than a century. Around 1610, it was enlarged by the reconstruction of the southern transept.
