L'abbaye créée au 12e siècle doit son origine à un ermitage fondé par Judicaël, roi de Bretagne et moine de Saint-Méen. L'église, reconstruite au 13e siècle, fut remaniée au 15e siècle sous l'abbé Olivier Guiho (charpente) et agrandie d'une galerie au sud au 17e siècle, au moment où furent reconstruits les bâtiments abbatiaux. La nef a conservé un remarquable ensemble de boiseries et un retable de cette époque. Le petit trésor conservé dans la sacristie comprend notamment deux pièces exceptionnelles : le bras-reliquaire de Judicaël, du 15e siècle, et un Christ d'ivoire du 18e siècle.

History
The abbey created in the 12th century owes its origin to a hermitage founded by Judicaël, King of Brittany and monk of Saint-Méen. The church, rebuilt in the 13th century, was altered in the 15th century under Abbot Olivier Guiho (roof structure) and enlarged by a gallery to the south in the 17th century, at which time the abbey buildings were rebuilt. The nave has retained a remarkable ensemble of woodwork and a retable of this period. The small treasury kept in the sacristy includes notably two exceptional pieces: the reliquary arm of Judicaël, from the 15th century, and an ivory Christ from the 18th century.
