Historique
La paroisse appartenait, dès 1152, à l'abbaye de Saint-Mélaine de Rennes. L'abbaye y avait établi un prieuré sans doute abandonné au début du 13e siècle. En 1597, la paroisse est saccagée par les Ligueurs. En 1793, s'y tient un combat de chouannerie entre paysans et gardes nationaux. L'église ne comprenait primitivement une nef à laquelle fut ajoutée, plus tard, deux chapelles formant transept. Le pignon ouest est percé d'une porte du 15e siècle flanquée de quatre colonnettes dont les chapiteaux à feuillages sont séparés par des têtes humaines. La face sud présente un appareil irrégulier en feuilles de fougères pouvant remonter au 11e siècle. Le choeur date de 1656, et est sommé d'un petit campanile carré.

History
The parish belonged, from 1152 onwards, to the abbey of Saint-Mélaine de Rennes. The abbey had established there a priory no doubt abandoned at the beginning of the 13th century. In 1597, the parish is plundered by the Leaguers. In 1793, a chouannerie fight takes place there between peasants and national guards. The church originally comprised only a nave to which were added, later, two chapels forming transept. The west gable is pierced by a door of the 15th century flanked by four small columns whose foliage capitals are separated by human heads. The south face presents an irregular opus of fern leaves which could date back to the 11th century. The choir dates from 1656, and is topped by a small square campanile.
