Historique

History
The south absidiole revealed traces of wall painting, fleurettes in stencil, doubtless dating from the 16th century. The apse and transept would date from the 12th century; the nave and south aisle from the 16th century; the north aisle from 1889. The primitive church (11th-12th century) must have been composed of a barrel-vaulted nave, a crossing, surmounted by a thick square tower of which the base remains. The choir was hemicycle topped and possessed two absidioles in the eastern walls of the transepts. Vaulted in a cul-de-four, the choir is pierced with five round-arched Romanesque openings. The main portal bears the date 1551. The bell tower has on each of its four sides paired windows whose arches are supported by small columns. The absidioles of the transepts are likewise in cul-de-four and pierced with round-arched openings.
