The chapel stands in the centre of a churchyard which has retained its triumphal arch and fragments of calvary. Inside, the piles separating the aisle from the nave are of the Pont-Croix school type. The vault is coffered. The bell tower was rebuilt in the early 20th century, after being struck by lightning. From the 13th century there survives a series of arcades in the northern part of the choir. The chapel appears to have been rebuilt in the 15th century, then enlarged in the 16th by two lateral chapels forming a transept. This chapel is one of the great Bigouden pilgrimage sites. From the 16th to the 18th century, the chapel was the property of the priory of Locmaria of Quimper. At the end of the 18th century, it was sold by the Convention to a private owner.
