History
The presence of a spring and large stone blocks suggest that a Celtic cult could have existed in this place. The chapel dates from the 18th century (the year 1753 inscribed on the bell tower), and served as a secondary chapel for peasants distant from the town, as well as a place of pilgrimage with a particular cult of Saint-Mathieu. The chapel, of rectangular plan, terminates in a chevet with canted corners. It has a single nave, without aisle or transept. The western façade is pierced by a door with a round arch, with a projecting arch key. The door is surmounted by a projecting pediment, itself surmounted by a small rectangular opening.
