Le Rumorvan à Lanildut constitue un quartier des plus typiques de l'habitat des populations côtières de la région des Abers. La plupart des maisons semblent remonter à la première moitié du 17e siècle (celle-ci a été édifiée en 1630) : anciennes demeures d'armateurs ou de patrons de cabotage que la tradition orale qualifie volontiers de corsaires, ces demeures présentent pour l'époque les signes d'une assez grande aisance. La construction de granit du pays, couverte de grosses ardoises comportant un rez-de-chaussée et généralement un étage droit, est séparée de la rue par une avant-cour pavée et encadrée de bâtiments bas. A l'arrière du bâtiment principal, parallèle à la rue, s'ouvrent de grands jardins d'agrément.

History
Le Rumorvan at Lanildut constitutes one of the most typical quarters of the housing of coastal populations in the Abers region. Most of the houses appear to date back to the first half of the 17th century (this one was built in 1630): former dwellings of shipowners or coastal trading captains that oral tradition readily describes as privateers, these residences present for the period the signs of considerable prosperity. The construction of local granite, covered with large slates comprising a ground floor and generally one upper storey, is separated from the street by a paved forecourt and framed by low buildings. At the rear of the main building, parallel to the street, open out large pleasure gardens.
