La fontaine ornée d'une statue de Saint-Gonval et le calvaire sont les seuls restes d'une chapelle du 15e siècle détruite au cours de la Seconde guerre mondiale. La forêt du Crannou était, sous le règne de Louis XIV, exploitée pour les bois destinés aux constructions navales. Une maison et ses dépendances étaient affectées à l'Intendant dirigeant l'exploitation et la chapelle était alors desservie.

History
The fountain adorned with a statue of Saint-Gonval and the calvary are the only remains of a 15th-century chapel destroyed during the Second World War. The forest of Crannou was, under the reign of Louis XIV, exploited for timber intended for naval construction. A house and its outbuildings were assigned to the Intendant directing the exploitation and the chapel was then served.
