History
Presumed to date from the 18th century, the windmill of Kerouan was one of the last to have operated on the Crozon peninsula. According to an inventory drawn up in 1794, the canton of Crozon had 72 windmills. The mills of the extreme coast, of small model, marked the landscape with their white sails, in rotation on the knolls covered with heather, naturally exposed to the winds. In this tower-type mill, the block of millstones, accessible by a staircase, measures 1.50 m in diameter. Most of the mechanisms and gearing are in place. Reduced to working for farm consumption, it stopped in 1950.
