Historique

History
The chapel dates from the 18th century, and is dedicated to the seven sleeping brothers, martyred at Ephesus in the 3rd century. It is a construction in the form of a Latin cross whose transept wings are raised. A small bell turret is located at the crossing of the roofs. The west gable is surmounted by another bell turret accessible by steps on the rampant. This building replaces a primitive construction from which the oldest part was preserved (vault beneath the south part of the transept). This vault, an ancient dolmen, is formed of three blocks of rock covered by three other stones, all in granite. The vault measures two metres wide by 4.50 metres in depth. This chapel is the unique witness in France to this cult of the Seven Sleeping Brothers of Ephesus.
