La fontaine proprement dite a la forme d'un petit oratoire rectangulaire dont la voûte en pierre est surmontée d'un crucifix à chaque extrémité. Les coins sont garnis de gargouilles. A l'intérieur de la fontaine se trouve la statue de Saint-Sylvestre en granit. Deux petits bassins se situent plus bas et reçoivent l'eau avant le grand bassin qui sert de lavoir. Ce grand bassin est entouré d'un mur avec assise à l'intérieur et deux escaliers pour y descendre, un de chaque côté. Le tout est en granit.

History
The typical ensemble presented by the fountain does not appear to predate the end of the 16th century. The fountain proper has the form of a small rectangular oratory whose stone vault is surmounted by a crucifix at each extremity. The corners are furnished with gargoyles. Inside the fountain is found the statue of Saint-Sylvestre in granite. Two small basins are situated lower and receive water before the large basin which serves as a wash-house. This large basin is surrounded by a wall with a ledge on the inside and two staircases to descend into it, one on each side. All is in granite.
