Cette villa a été construite vers 1913 au coeur d'un domaine balnéaire. Elle a été rachetée en 1925 par Fricotelle, riche importateur de papier à cigarettes, qui la fait agrandir. L'ouvrage est confié à l'architecte parisien Jean de La Morinerie, qui en fait une demeure à deux étages dans un style moderniste atténué par des réminiscences néo-classiques. La décoration, particulièrement soignée, est inspirée de la flore et la faune sous-marine, d'après des dessins de Mathurin Méheut. Les ferronneries d'art réalisées par Edgar Brandt et Raymond Subes, et les mosaïques d'Isidore Odorico recomposent ainsi un monde sous-marin d'un grand réalisme. History
This villa was built around 1913 in the heart of a seaside estate. It was purchased in 1925 by Fricotelle, a wealthy importer of cigarette paper, who had it enlarged. The work was entrusted to the Parisian architect Jean de La Morinerie, who made it a two-storey residence in a modernist style tempered by neo-classical reminiscences. The decoration, particularly refined, was inspired by submarine flora and fauna, based on drawings by Mathurin Méheut. The art ironwork created by Edgar Brandt and Raymond Subes, and the mosaics by Isidore Odorico thus recomposed a submarine world of great realism.
