Immeuble construit de 1912 à 1914 par l'architecte Théo Petit, destiné à abriter diverses activités de l'Institut professionnel féminin, fondé par Léopold Bellan : un établissement d'enseignement privé pour jeunes filles, ateliers de commerce, bureaux de dessin et deux salles de spectacle. A l'origine, la grande salle, inaugurée en 1914, était polyvalente. Appelée d'abord théâtre Albert-Ier, puis théâtre Charles-de-Rochefort, puis théâtre Tristan-Bernard, elle comprend 400 places ; son décor néo-Louis XVI est inspiré de la salle Gaveau (voir notice PA00088887). La petite salle (salle Villiers) est décorée dans le même style et comprend 200 places.

Building constructed from 1912 to 1914 by architect Théo Petit, intended to house various activities of the Institut professionnel féminin, founded by Léopold Bellan: a private educational establishment for young women, commerce workshops, drawing offices and two performance halls. Originally, the large hall, inaugurated in 1914, was multi-purpose. First called théâtre Albert-Ier, then théâtre Charles-de-Rochefort, then théâtre Tristan-Bernard, it has 400 seats; its neo-Louis XVI décor is inspired by the salle Gaveau (see notice PA00088887). The small hall (salle Villiers) is decorated in the same style and has 200 seats.
