Immeuble construit de 1905 à 1906 par l'architecte Jacques Hermant pour la maison Gaveau, fabricant de pianos. Construit en béton armé (système Coignet) , l'édifice est destiné à abriter le nouveau siège social de l'entreprise, ainsi que des espaces de stockage et d'exposition de pianos. Il comporte aussi une grande salle de concert et deux salles d'audition. La salle de concert, avec son décor en staff peint en gris et or, dans un style Louis XVI, est encore intacte ; elle peut contenir un millier de spectateurs et conserve également son buffet d'orgue.

History
Building constructed from 1905 to 1906 by architect Jacques Hermant for the Gaveau house, piano manufacturer. Built in reinforced concrete (Coignet system), the building was designed to house the new head office of the company, as well as storage and display spaces for pianos. It also comprises a large concert hall and two audition rooms. The concert hall, with its decoration in staff painted in grey and gold, in a Louis XVI style, is still intact; it can hold a thousand spectators and also preserves its organ case.
