Panorama construit en 1881 par l'architecte Charles Garnier, transformé en théâtre ("Les Folies Marigny") en 1893 par l'architecte Edouard Niermans, créant une salle de 1 200 places. Ce théâtre est modifié en 1925 sous l'égide du nouveau concessionnaire, Léon Volterra : l'exubérante ornementation de Niermans est supprimée et seule la forme de l'édifice d'origine, un dodécagone de 32 mètres de diamètre, est conservée. L'architecte Alvaro de Grimaldi réalise alors la salle actuelle, avec un décor Art Déco antiquisant, de tendance néo-pompéienne. Une nouvelle salle a été aménagée dans le foyer en 1980.

History
Panorama built in 1881 by the architect Charles Garnier, transformed into a theatre ("Les Folies Marigny") in 1893 by the architect Edouard Niermans, creating a hall of 1,200 seats. This theatre is modified in 1925 under the direction of the new concessionaire, Léon Volterra: the exuberant ornamentation of Niermans is removed and only the form of the original building, a dodecagon 32 metres in diameter, is retained. The architect Alvaro de Grimaldi then creates the current hall, with an Art Deco decoration of antiquizing tendency, neo-Pompeian in style. A new hall was arranged in the foyer in 1980.
