Historique
Cet ancien hôtel particulier a été construit en 1781 par l'architecte A.T. Brongniart pour Anne-Pierre, comte de Montesquiou, marquis de Fézensac et premier écuyer de Monsieur. L'hôtel est adjugé en 1851 aux bénédictines de l'Adoration perpétuelle du Saint-Sacrement pour lesquelles Clément Parent élève un cloître et une chapelle néo-gothiques. Ces dernières constructions sont rasées à partir de 1938, après acquisition par l'Etat, et remplacées en 1951 par l'actuel bâtiment administratif sur rue dû à l'architecte Martin. Les décors de l'hôtel ont en grande partie disparu, mais il subsiste toutefois un escalier avec rampe en fer forgé du 18e siècle.

History
This former private mansion was built in 1781 by architect A.T. Brongniart for Anne-Pierre, comte de Montesquiou, marquis de Fézensac and first equerry of Monsieur. The hotel was adjudged in 1851 to the Benedictines of the Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for whom Clément Parent erected a neo-Gothic cloister and chapel. These latter constructions were razed from 1938, after acquisition by the State, and replaced in 1951 by the present administrative building on the street due to architect Martin. The hotel's decorations have largely disappeared, but there remains nevertheless a staircase with 18th-century wrought-iron railing.
