Historique
Un des plus anciens hôtels du faubourg Saint-Germain, construit entre 1708 et 1714 pour la marquise de Saissac par Alexandre Le Blond. En 1769, son nouveau propriétaire, le comte d'Orsay, fait renouveler complètement le décor intérieur dans le goût antique par l'architecte J.A. Renard : colonnes de marbre provenant du temple de Néron à Rome, ... En 1838, l'hôtel est complètement restauré par Visconti qui le modifie en le surélevant d'un étage et en ajoutant à la façade sur cour un vaste péristyle couvert. L'hôtel a été acquis par l'Etat en 1948.

One of the oldest hotels in the faubourg Saint-Germain, built between 1708 and 1714 for the marquise de Saissac by Alexandre Le Blond. In 1769, its new owner, the comte d'Orsay, had the interior decoration completely renewed in the antique taste by architect J.A. Renard: marble columns from the temple of Nero in Rome, ...
