Historique
Hôtel particulier construit en 1732 par l'architecte Sulpice Gaubier pour la comtesse de Choiseul dans un style de transition Louis XIV - Louis XV. A partir de 1822, les intérieurs furent malmenés du fait de leurs locations successives. Les plus importantes transformations intervinrent en 1876, menées par l'architecte Eugène Rouyer. L'escalier central fut remplacé par un escalier déporté, la distribution des espaces modifiée et les pièces enrichies des décors peints et sculptés éclectiques (néogothique, néoRenaissance et néo 18e).En 1886, l'immeuble est racheté par l'Etat pour y installer la direction de la Caisse Nationale d'Epargne. De 1946 à 1973, le musée postal s'y installe. Après avoir été longtemps inoccupé, le bâtiment est rénové avec l’accompagnement des architectes des bâtiments de France, dans le cadre plus général de la construction du siège de La Banque Postale, créée en 2006. Le chantier est confié à l’Atelier Chaix et Morel et Associés et s’étire de 2008 à 2011.

Townhouse built in 1732 by the architect Sulpice Gaubier for the countess of Choiseul in a Louis XIV - Louis XV transition style.
