Usine dépendant des services d'assainissement de la Ville de Paris, construite en prolongement des égouts collecteurs aboutissant à une première usine à Clichy. Après "dégrossissage", l'usine de Colombes pompait les eaux usées à travers le pont-aqueduc d'Argenteuil, en direction des champs d'épandage du parc agricole d'Achères. Une première installation de relèvement (l'usine A) , datant de 1893, a été détruite pendant la Deuxième Guerre. La seconde installation (l'usine B) , datant de 1901, due à l'ingénieur des Ponts et Chaussées A. Loewy, est intacte. Elle comporte deux halles accolées dont la charpente métallique a été fournie par l'entreprise Moisant-Laurent et Savey. Les murs sont ornés de frises en terre cuite et de motifs losangés en briques polychromes. Depuis 1995, la petite halle, celle des chaudières, est transformée en bureaux pour le Centre de Recherche interdépartemental pour le Traitement des Eaux résiduaires.

History
Factory belonging to the sewerage services of the City of Paris, built in extension of the collector sewers leading to a first factory at Clichy. After "roughing out", the Colombes factory pumped wastewater through the Argenteuil aqueduct bridge in the direction of the spreading grounds of the Achères agricultural park. A first pumping installation (factory A), dating from 1893, was destroyed during the Second World War. The second installation (factory B), dating from 1901, designed by the engineer of the Ponts et Chaussées A. Loewy, is intact. It comprises two adjoining halls whose metal roof structure was supplied by the company Moisant-Laurent and Savey. The walls are decorated with terracotta friezes and lozenge motifs in polychrome brickwork. Since 1995, the small hall, the boiler hall, has been transformed into offices for the Interdepartmental Research Centre for the Treatment of Wastewater.
