Historique

History
According to tradition, this house is said to have been built by a secretary of Richelieu around 1630, and is said to have been the place where the cardinal eliminated inconvenient witnesses. The building underwent major transformations in the 19th and early 20th century. The original plan comprised a central block flanked by two wings surrounding a square courtyard. In 1870, the buildings were damaged and only the north wing survived. It preserves a central staircase with two flights whose original banister subsists only to the first flight. In one room, a French-style painted ceiling.
