Historique
Château élevé de 1903 à 1906 par l'architecte René Sergent pour un riche banquier parisien, le comte Edmond de Fels, prince de Heffingen. En 1892, le commanditaire avait acquis le domaine de Voisins où subsistaient des vestiges de l'ancien château du marquis de Croismare, modifié par l'architecte Ange-Jacques Gabriel en 1779. Le nouveau château s'inspire des oeuvres de cet architecte auquel le comte de Fels vouait un culte particulier. Derrière ses allures de pastiche du 18e siècle, le château, qui ne comporte pas moins de 47 pièces, est un édifice doté de tous le confort moderne : chauffage central, monte-charge, etc. Les jardins sont aménagés de 1906 à 1929 par l'architecte-paysagiste Achille Duchêne.

History
Castle built from 1903 to 1906 by architect René Sergent for a wealthy Parisian banker, Count Edmond de Fels, Prince of Heffingen. In 1892, the patron had acquired the estate of Voisins where remnants of the old castle of the Marquis de Croismare, modified by architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel in 1779, still remained. The new castle was inspired by the works of this architect, for whom the Count de Fels had a particular devotion. Behind its appearance as a pastiche of the 18th century, the castle, which comprises no fewer than 47 rooms, is a building equipped with all modern comforts: central heating, dumb waiter, etc. The gardens were laid out from 1906 to 1929 by landscape architect Achille Duchêne.
