History
Post relay dating from the 19th century, fitted out at the beginning of the 20th century at the initiative of the Rothschild family, intended to serve as a café ("Hôtel Saint-Rémy, Maison Bader") with a performance hall on the upper floor, for the people of the village and the staff of the château de Ferrières. The façade is adorned with four ceramic panels by the ceramicist A.-J. Arnoux, director of the decoration workshop at the Boulenger faience factory in Choisy-le-Roi (94). Two panels present feminine allegories taken directly from Boulenger catalogues; the two others, created specially for the Saint-Rémy café, represent the Marne at Lagny and the entrance of a train at Ozoir-la-Ferrière station.
