Cinéma construit en 1921 par l'architecte H. Zipcy (dit Ripey), avec une façade recouverte d'un riche décor de mosaïque, à motifs égyptiens, réalisé par le mosaïste Tibéri. La salle, conçue pour 1 300 personnes, est rénovée en 1970, ce qui entraîne la disparition des fauteuils égyptiens. Une autorisation de démolir a été refusée en 1985, mais le cinéma est resté à l'abandon. Il a été racheté par la ville de Paris en 2003.

History
Cinema built in 1921 by architect H. Zipcy (called Ripey), with a façade covered in rich mosaic decoration with Egyptian motifs, executed by mosaicist Tibéri. The auditorium, designed for 1,300 people, was renovated in 1970, which resulted in the loss of the Egyptian armchairs. A demolition permit was refused in 1985, but the cinema remained abandoned. It was purchased by the City of Paris in 2003.
