Historique
Cinéma construit à l'emplacement d'un ancien café-concert (portant déjà le nom de "l'Eldorado") , réalisé en 1933 par Paul Dubreuil, architecte du Syndicat français des directeurs de cinématographes. L'édifice, avec une salle de 1 500 places, est construit en béton armé, l'architecte travaillant en collaboration avec le bureau Hennebique. Le décor en staff de la salle est signé de L. Binet. Le hall d'entrée, de style Art Déco, comporte deux étages de foyers-promenoirs. Il a été réhabilité en 1993 après la reconversion du cinéma en théâtre. La façade sur le boulevard a été surélevée et a perdu sa verrière à redents triangulaires, remplacée par une simple grande vitre.

History
Cinema built on the site of a former café-concert (already bearing the name "l'Eldorado"), realized in 1933 by Paul Dubreuil, architect of the French Syndicate of cinematograph directors. The building, with an auditorium of 1,500 seats, is built in reinforced concrete, the architect working in collaboration with the Hennebique bureau. The staff decoration of the auditorium is signed by L. Binet. The entrance hall, in Art Deco style, comprises two storeys of foyer-promenades. It was rehabilitated in 1993 following the conversion of the cinema into a theatre. The facade on the boulevard was raised and lost its sawtooth glazed canopy, replaced by a simple large window pane.
